Wat Sal Pruek
វត្តសាលព្រឹក្ស
Wat Sal Pruek (វត្តសាលព្រឹក្ស, Wat Sal Pruek) is a Buddhist Wat in Peam Ro district, Prey Veng.[1]
Religious life
During Pchum Ben, the 15-day festival for ancestors, lay people hold Kan Ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ, Kan Ben), daily turns of offerings to the monks. On October 3, 2026, the seventh day, Cheam Yeap, first vice president of the National Assembly, and his family joined lay followers at the Wat for chanting, the alms round and the bangskol (a rite in which monks chant for the dead), and offered funds and gifts to the monks.[1]
