Wat Samrong Andet (វត្តសុវណ្ណមុនីសាគរ, Wat Sovann Muni Sakor) is a Buddhist Wat in Kouk Khleang, Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.[1]

Religious life

As of 2026, the abbot was Samdech Preah Sakyamuni Rath Saroeun, a member of the Buddhist Elders' Council and deputy chief monk of Khan Sen Sok.[2] On April 18, 2026, Minister of Cults and Religion Chay Borin and Samdech Am Lim Heng, Supreme Patriarch of the Mahanikaya order, laid the foundation stone of a large new kuti (monks' residence), 33 m by 21 m (108 by 69 ft) and 45 m (148 ft) tall.[1]

During Pchum Ben, the 15-day festival for ancestors, lay people hold Kan Ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ, Kan Ben), daily turns of offerings to the monks. On September 17, 2025, Phnom Penh governor Khuong Sreng led the capital administration in the tenth turn at the Wat.[3] The seventh turn in 2026 was held on October 3.[2]
