Wat Sangke Pir
វត្តទ្រីសុទ្ធារាម
Wat Sangke Pir (វត្តទ្រីសុទ្ធារាម, Wat Trei Sotharam) is a Buddhist Wat in Sambo village, Sangke Pir commune, Chheb district, Preah Vihear.[1]
Religious life
During Pchum Ben, the 15-day festival for ancestors, lay people hold Kan Ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ, Kan Ben), daily turns of offerings to the monks. On September 14, 2025, the head of the provincial public works department led officials in chanting, an alms offering and gifts to the monks for the seventh day of Kan Ben at the Wat.[1]
At the start of Kan Ben in 2026, the same official announced that a hall of 9 by 15 meters would be built at the Wat to house a Buddha image.[2]
