Religious life

During Pchum Ben, the 15-day festival for ancestors, lay people hold Kan Ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ, Kan Ben), daily turns of offerings to the monks. On September 19, 2025, the 12th day, Samdech Men Sam An joined the offerings at the Wat, as he does each year in his home district, with gifts for the monks of three Wats.[2] On October 1, 2026, the fifth day, officials of the Ministry of Information took part in the alms round and Kan Ben at the Wat.[1] On May 5, 2026, the Wat opened the new year of its group of Buddhist primary schools, giving study materials and the four requisites to monk and lay students.[3]
