Religious life

In 2021 four Cambodian monks lived in the house, and the Buddhist association that runs the Wat hoped to buy it. The monk in charge was Venerable Roeurn Bun Hay, who had served earlier at Bagneux. The monks meditated from 6 to 8 a.m., followed by a ceremony, took their single daily meal at noon and meditated again from 6 to 8 p.m.[1]

On October 5, 2021, during Pchum Ben, the Wat held a ceremony in which the names of the dead were read aloud one by one so that their spirits could receive the offerings, and the list was then burned. The monks chanted, and the ceremony ended with meditation, a blessing with holy water and a shared meal.[1]
