Wat Srae Veal Khang Kaeut
វត្តស្រែវាលខាងកើត
Wat Srae Veal Khang Kaeut (វត្តស្រែវាលខាងកើត), formally វត្តបទុមសាគរ, is a Buddhist Wat in Dang Kambet commune, Sandan district, Kampong Thom province.[1]
Religious life
On March 1, 2025, a krong peali (ក្រុងពលី), an offering to the guardian spirit of the land, and a foundation ceremony began a new monks' residence of 96 m² (1,033 sq ft) in Khmer style, paid for by the lay followers and the government's working group for the commune. In May 2025 the group brought two tonnes of cement and food for the monks so that the work could continue.[1][2]
The same group brought offerings for Vassa, the rains retreat, in July 2025 and July 2026, and joined the third day of kan ben (កាន់បិណ្ឌ), the days of offerings that lead up to Pchum Ben, at the Wat on September 10, 2025.[3][4][5]
