Wat Ta Ok
វត្តអង្គជុំ
Wat Ta Ok (វត្តអង្គជុំ, Wat Ang Chum) is a Buddhist Wat in Ta Ok village, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal, Cambodia.[1]
History
The Wat's new main hall was built in classical Khmer style on a two-tiered base. It rises 31.9 m (105 ft) to the tip of its trident, has 60 columns, and measures 20.3 m by 11.3 m (67 by 37 ft). It took one year, eight months and eight days to build, cost $435,476 and was finished on February 3, 2024.[1]
Religious life
On the morning of June 8, 2025, the new hall was dedicated, its sima (consecrated boundary) marked and new Buddha images consecrated, in the presence of Samdech Noy Chrek, first deputy supreme patriarch of the Mahanikaya order. Chuop Ny was then the abbot.[1]
