Wat

Wat Veang Chas (វត្តវាំងចាស់), formally វត្តហរិរក្សរាជិនី, is a Buddhist Wat in Veang Chas, Oudong Maechey city, Kampong Speu province, Cambodia.[1]

History

The Wat stands near Phnom Oudong on the site of a palace of King Ang Duong, who reigned from 1840 to 1859; the palace was later given to the monks as a Wat.[1]

Religious life

As of 2025, the abbot was Preah Inthasirivong Tat Vipol, who hoped to make the Wat a historical site for visitors.[1] On September 22, 2025, Prime Minister Hun Manet and his family made offerings to the monks at the Wat for Pchum Ben.[2][3]
