Cambodian chef and culinary author who documents and revives Khmer home and royal cooking.
Chef Nak, whose name is Rotanak Ros, is a Cambodian chef, culinary author and entrepreneur based in Phnom Penh. She researches Khmer recipes with older home cooks and published the cookbook NHUM in 2019 and SAOY, on royal Cambodian home cuisine, in 2023. She runs Chef Nak Home Dining and has cooked in partnership with hotel restaurants in Phnom Penh, and her work has been profiled internationally as part of an effort to restore Cambodian cooking knowledge lost during the Khmer Rouge period.
