Cambodian photojournalist and interpreter who collected and edited survivor testimony from the Khmer Rouge period.
Dith Pran was a Cambodian photojournalist, interpreter and guide who worked with journalist Sydney Schanberg reporting on the war in Cambodia and later joined the staff of The New York Times. He founded and led the Dith Pran Holocaust Awareness Project and gathered brief narratives from adult survivors of the Khmer Rouge period, published as Children of Cambodia's Killing Fields, which he edited with Kim DePaul.
