Synopsis
This biographical drama follows American journalist Sydney Schanberg and Cambodian journalist and interpreter Dith Pran during the Cambodian civil war and the Khmer Rouge regime. After Schanberg returns to the United States, Pran is detained, subjected to forced labor and re-education, and later escapes to a refugee camp near the Thai border, where the two men reunite.
