Guide
Entering Cambodia
Entering Cambodia requires a free online arrival form for travelers arriving by air and, unless the traveler's country is exempt, a visa.[1][2] Cambodians who hold a foreign passport can get a K visa from a Cambodian embassy.[3] The rules given here are those the official sites printed on October 17, 2026.[1][2][3]
Official websites
Cambodia's General Department of Immigration (អគ្គនាយកដ្ឋានអន្តោប្រវេសន៍) publishes notices on its website, immigration.gov.kh.[4] The arrival form is at arrival.gov.kh, which describes itself as the only official website of the Cambodia e-Arrival Card.[1] Tourists can apply for a visa online at evisa.gov.kh.[5] The Royal Embassy of Cambodia in London writes that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation introduced the e-visa in April 2006. The ministry's e-Visa Office runs the site, not the embassy. Questions about applications go to that office.[5]
e-Arrival
The e-Arrival site says every traveler fills in the Cambodia e-Arrival, including travelers who already have a visa, and that the e-Arrival is not a visa.[1] UK government advice gives the requirement for travelers entering by air at the three international airports.[2] One online form replaces the paper immigration form, health form and customs declaration, and it is free on the official website and the mobile app.[1]
The two official sites word the filing window differently. The e-Arrival site says travelers can submit the form within seven days before arrival; the General Department of Immigration's site says within seven days before or on arrival.[1][4]
After submitting, travelers keep a screenshot or printout of the form's quick response code.[1] Arriving visitors receive a v-Pass by email in place of the ink stamp in their passport.[1] The e-Arrival site lists three airports: Techo International Airport, Siem Reap Angkor International Airport and Sihanoukville International Airport.[1] Techo International Airport has arrival and departure smart gates, and the site lists the passports eligible to use them, among them those of Cambodia, the United States, Australia, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.[1]
Tourist visa
UK government travel advice says a visitor needs a visa to enter Cambodia, and that a tourist visa allows a stay of 30 days counted from entry.[2] It advises applying for an e-visa at least four days ahead, on the website or the official app.[2] A traveler without an e-visa can instead obtain a tourist visa on arrival, at an airport or a land border crossing, with a photo and payment in US dollars.[2]
The passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of arrival and must not be damaged or missing pages.[2] A tourist visa can be extended inside Cambodia.[2] The advice warns that overstaying can bring a fine, detention and deportation, and that the fine has no limit.[2] For fees and photo rules it points travelers to the Cambodian embassy.[2]
For Cambodians abroad
The Royal Embassy of Cambodia in London issues a Khmer visa (K class) to Cambodian citizens who travel on a foreign passport.[3] The visa is valid until the passport expires.[3]
Applicants send a signed application form with a recent passport photo of 35 by 45 millimeters. The passport must have at least six months left on entry and two blank pages.[3] They add a personal letter to the embassy and a copy of a document that proves Cambodian citizenship, such as a Khmer birth certificate, Cambodian passport or Khmer ID card. Applicants born abroad also send a parent's birth or marriage certificate.[3] Anyone who has held a K visa before can send a copy of that visa page instead.[3]
The London embassy takes applications in person by appointment, with a processing time of three working days. Applications by post take five working days.[3]
