Masahiro Sugano is a filmmaker who works through the media lab Studio Revolt and directed the documentary Cambodian Son.
Masahiro Sugano is a filmmaker who directed, produced and edited the documentary Cambodian Son (Wikipedia). Through his media lab Studio Revolt he has made short videos about Cambodian deportations, including the Verses in Exile series, as well as feature documentaries and narrative features (Artist Trust). He has collaborated since 2005 with artist Anida Yoeu Ali, for whom he created video and animation for the performance work Living Memory/Living Absence (Northwest Asian Weekly). He has also taught filmmaking and worked as an artist-in-residence at the University of Washington Bothell (Artist Trust).
