American journalist and young adult novelist whose novel Never Fall Down is based on the life of Arn Chorn-Pond.
Patricia McCormick is an American journalist and writer of realistic fiction for young adults, and a contributor to publications including The New York Times. Her books include Cut (2000), Sold, which was a 2006 National Book Award finalist, and Never Fall Down, a 2012 National Book Award finalist based on the true story of Arn Chorn-Pond, who was forced to play music for Khmer Rouge soldiers as a child.
