Pin Yathay is a Cambodian author and survivor of the Khmer Rouge period whose memoir Stay Alive, My Son was first published in 1987 and has been translated into twelve languages. The book documents the 27 months between the Khmer Rouge arrival in Phnom Penh and his escape into Thailand.
