Description
Kim Echlin’s novel follows Anne Greves, a young Montreal woman who falls in love with Serey, a Cambodian student and musician unable to return home during the Khmer Rouge period. Years later, Anne travels to Cambodia to find him, and their story becomes an exploration of genocide, disappearance, trauma, memory, grief, political violence, and the endurance of love.
