Thet Sambath is a Cambodian investigative journalist and co-director of the documentary Enemies of the People.
Thet Sambath is a Cambodian investigative journalist based in Phnom Penh, where he has worked at the Phnom Penh Post, and who has worked since 1994 as a producer, translator and camera operator for international broadcasters (ICFJ). From 1999 he spent about a decade recording confessions and explanations from former Khmer Rouge cadres, including Nuon Chea, work that became the documentary Enemies of the People, which he co-directed with Rob Lemkin (Wikipedia; ICFJ). The film records testimony from foot soldiers and senior figures of the regime (POV). He continued publishing further interview excerpts with Nuon Chea from 2011 (Wikipedia).
