Wat

Wat Mon Dhyan (វត្តមុនធ្យាន) is a Buddhist Wat in Kok Russei Khang Cheung village, Dan Run commune, Soutr Nikom district, Siem Reap province, Cambodia.[1]

Religious life

As of 2025 and 2026, the abbot was Venerable Lon Sambi, who also served as a deputy head of the monastic order in Soutr Nikom district.[1][2] During the fighting on the border with Thailand, the abbot gathered the Wat's lay followers to prepare food for soldiers in Oddar Meanchey province. On August 15, 2025, they wrapped about 5,000 num ansom (នំអន្សម, sticky-rice cakes) and other rice cakes and made 500 kg (1,100 lb) of ambok (អំបុក, pounded rice), along with 1,000 bottles of water.[1] On July 15, 2026, he took food and supplies from the district administration and lay donors to soldiers on the border.[2]
