Its formal name is printed both as វត្តហង្សាបិតិ and as វត្តហង្សាបីតិ (Wat Hangsa Piti).[1][2]

Religious life

As of June 2025, the abbot was Preah Kru Nov Sokunthai, known as Lok Ta Hua. He helped start the fund for a five-story emergency building at the Pursat provincial referral hospital, whose foundation stone was laid in June 2025.[3] On June 20, 2025, he gave the hospital an ultrasound machine, a computer and other equipment worth nearly US$20,000, bought with offerings from lay followers.[1] On September 13, 2025, the sixth day of the Kan Ben season, the provincial branch of the Cambodian Women's Association for Peace and Development brought offerings to the Wat.[2]
