Synopsis
The documentary follows Cambodian dancer Thavro Phim, who survived the Khmer Rouge regime and lost his father, brother, and grandfather. It follows his 1998 return to Cambodia, his dedication to Cambodian Classical dance and the white monkey role, and efforts by dancers in Cambodia and the United States to preserve Khmer dance traditions and cultural memory.
