Description
Escape From Dragon House is an album of original, mildly psychedelic pop by Dengue Fever, combining Cambodian rock influences with garage rock, surf-inspired guitar, spaghetti-western textures, acoustic balladry, and Cambodian rap. Chhom Nimol sings primarily in Khmer, with English and Khmer appearing together on “Hummingbird”; Zac Holtzman also sings in Khmer on “Tip My Canoe.” The album includes a version of “Tip My Canoe” credited to Ros Serey Sothea and Sinn Sisamouth, while the remaining material is credited to Dengue Fever.
