Starting a page

Copy the outline that fits the subject and fill what you know. A name, a short introduction and an identifiable source are enough to begin; remove empty or irrelevant sections.

Write each section as short narrative paragraphs, following KhmerConnection:How we write, and why. Begin with one sentence that identifies the subject and can stand on its own, in under about 160 characters. On first mention, give a Khmer name as the English name, the Khmer script and the romanization, for example Water Festival (បុណ្យអុំទូក, Bon Om Touk).

These are ordinary infoboxes and article headings. No relationship helpers or reference IDs are required. Use the KhmerConnection:Field dictionary for common field values.

Use this outline for dance companies, troupes, schools and ensembles. Lineage and training names the teachers who trained the founder and principal teachers, as the sources name them. List the people a group names publicly with their roles, and describe their work rather than their family or personal lives. When a group gives a region rather than a city, leave city blank and name the region in the introduction. Add founded only when sources agree on the year.

Event

One dated public event. Title the page "Event name, Venue (Month Year)". Weekly and monthly programs go on the venue page as a schedule instead; see KhmerConnection:Field dictionary#Events.

Keep enough description that the entry remains useful if a link later stops working.
