Xavier de Lauzanne is a French documentary director whose film The Perfect Motion follows the Cambodian royal ballet.
Xavier de Lauzanne is a French documentary director and producer who began filming in 1999 and created the production company Aloest Productions around his first documentary, Retour sur la RC4, in 2000 (French Wikipedia; The Perfect Motion). He directed The Perfect Motion, a documentary about Cambodian classical dance and the royal ballet, made with producer Pierre Kogan and intended to capture both the beauty of the form and the drama of recent Cambodian history (Phnom Penh Post; The Perfect Motion). His other work includes the award-winning documentaries Le Seigneur de Darjeeling, D'une seule voix and Les Pépites, and a trilogy on reconstruction in post-Islamic State Iraq and Syria beginning with 9 jours à Raqqa (French Wikipedia; The Perfect Motion).
