Synopsis

The documentary follows the creation of Princess Norodom Buppha Devi’s final major choreography, “Metamorphosis,” alongside the history of the Royal Ballet of Cambodia from 1906 to the present. It includes testimonies from dancers, teachers, artists, historians and members of the royal family about the preservation and revival of Khmer classical dance through periods of war, displacement and reconstruction.
